Ceramic coatings are chemically created to bond with the deepest levels of your paint forming an invisible shield locking out daily hazards, while locking in a vehicle that looks better than new! Ceramic coatings, once cured, provide a glass like shield that is bonded with the deepest levels of your paint. They are highly heat resistant, which allows the coating to block out UV rays seeking to damage and fade your paint, while locking in the new car like appearance of your vehicle. Additionally, our ceramic coatings are extremely hydrophobic, which means chemically speaking they hate water! This is a good thing as any time water hits the surface it beads and rolls off clearing off any dirt or debris with it.

Ceramic coatings are very different than that of a wax, or even a sealant. 1. True ceramic coatings molecularly bond to the deepest levels of paint, creating a barrier that lasts for years if cared for properly. The majority of waxes/sealants will only last a few months, maximum. 2. C6 Ceramic coatings create a surface that repels and blocks out UV Rays - this prevents what is known as oxidation and fading, which means your paint will always look fresh. 3. Coatings produce a highly repellent, hydrophobic surface, where dirt, dust, debris, etc. is unable to adhere to the surface. AND...due to the hydrophobic properties, they will easily rinse off - no more deep scrubs needed! We can go more in depth on this, but its pretty simple - ceramic coatings are far superior and last much longer than waxes.

Ceramic coatings create a hard glass like surface that is bonded to the deepest levels of your paint. This prevents many hazards from reaching and damaging your paint. It can even prevent light scratches as well, but the main protective nature of coatings lies more in the chemical realm. Coatings are extremely hydrophobic, which means they repel water. This prevents any form of moisture from ever reaching or contaminating your paint. Things like acid rain, chemically polluted liquids, bird droppings, brake dust, etc will never have a chance to damage or stain your paint. Coatings are also excellent at preserving paint integrity by repelling UV rays, thus enhancing the life of your paint, preventing paint fade, breakdown, and general failure. Ceramic coatings are not the same as paint protection film (PPF), which means they do not prevent rock chips and deep scratches.

This is best answered in two parts: 1. Who applied the coating? Just as not all coatings are the same, nor are two installers the same. Although, we have a deep respect for others, we far too often seen failed applications from other installers due to improper preparation, rushed application, and then poor education on upkeep/maintenance. We spend hours in the preparation phase alone, to ensure appropriate bonding during application and further longevity of the coating. 2. How is it cared for? Ceramic coatings make your life much simpler when it comes to upkeep and caring for your car. As with everything, they also need some TLC of their own. Coatings are not designed to be ran through run of the mill car washes - those bristles are basically applying a light sanding to your paint each time you go through, and over time will wear the coating down. We spend time educating you on how to ensure your C6 coating lasts a lifetime.

Great question. See above 😉
